Acceptable Use Policy

Effective November 4, 2026

What you, your subusers and your players can't do with Mpire Hosting's services. This policy is part of our Terms of Service. Server owners are responsible for what happens on their servers, including what their players do.

Illegal and harmful content

You may not host, share, link to or allow on your server:

  • anything that sexualizes, exploits or endangers minors. We report child sexual abuse material to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children and to law enforcement, and close the account without notice;
  • content that is illegal where you, your players or our servers are, including threats, harassment, stalking, doxxing and incitement to violence;
  • grooming, or attempts to move minors you meet in game into private contact;
  • terrorist or violent extremist content, or content promoting self-harm;
  • someone else's private information without their consent, or intimate images shared without consent;
  • pirated games, cracked software or other material that infringes copyright, trademarks or other rights;
  • gambling with real money or anything of real-world value, where it's unlicensed or not allowed by the game's publisher.

Network and security abuse

  • No attacks: DDoS, flooding, port or vulnerability scanning, brute-forcing or breaking into other systems, including ours.
  • No booters, stressers, botnets, command-and-control servers, open proxies, VPNs or relays for others, or Tor exit nodes.
  • No malware, phishing, spam, or hosting files used to attack or trick others.
  • No getting around plan limits, billing, suspensions or security controls, or accessing other customers' servers or data.

Wrong kind of workload

  • Servers are for running games and their tools. No cryptocurrency mining, password cracking, general web hosting, file sharing or AI workloads.
  • No reselling or sub-leasing our servers without written permission.
  • Don't use so much CPU, disk or network for so long that it harms other customers on a shared machine. We'll contact you first where we can.

Games, mods and communities

  • Follow each game's server rules and the publisher's terms, such as the Minecraft EULA and its rules on selling in-game items.
  • Only install mods, plugins and maps you have the right to use, and don't install ones that are malicious or that collect players' data without telling them.
  • Use our Discord bot only in Discord servers where you're allowed to add it, and follow Discord's rules.
  • Use Parental controls and player logs only to look after players you're responsible for, and lawfully.

Moderating your server

You're expected to set rules for your server and act on them, for example by banning players who break the law or this policy. If we learn of a problem caused by a player, we'll usually ask you to deal with it first. If it isn't handled, or is serious, we may act on the server ourselves.

What happens if this policy is broken

We may remove content, stop or suspend the server, close the account, and keep and share information with law enforcement, as set out in section 9 of the Terms of Service. Serious breaches can be acted on without notice, and servers ended for breaking this policy aren't refunded.

Reporting abuse

Email support@mpire-hosting.com with the server address or name, what's happening and when, and any evidence such as screenshots or logs. For copyright complaints, see the DMCA section of our terms. If someone is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services first.
